Submersible Tide Gauge TGR-2050P

RBR's dual channel submersible tide gauge, the TGR-2050P, is designed to record tide gauges for long term monitoring of tidal activity in unattended locations. The TGR-2050P is a self-contained, submersible temperature and depth logger; using pressure transducers to monitor the tide action along with a thermistor for accurate temperature measurement. The instrument may store up to 2,400,000 readings on 8MB memory and runs autonomously on internal Lithium batteries. As an optional extra, it may be fitted with an underwater external connection for RS232 or RS485 output.

Tide measurement is achieved by averaging pressure data, sampled at a rate of 4Hz. The sample period and the length of the averaging burst are fully programmable." It has a built-in averaging function to eliminate interference from wave action and it can be mounted on the sea or harbour floor, or fastened to an existing structure or mooring line (mooring clamps optional).
