XRX Series 10 Channel Loggers

RBR's XRX series of loggers (sonde, recorder) come with conductivity, temperature and depth (CTD) sensors as standard and is available as a deployed or profiling logger.  The bulkhead is pre-configured to support an additional seven sensors.  You can select the other sensors you require initially. The XRX is designed to be upgradeable when your water quality measurement needs change. The design allows RBR to quickly change or add sensors as required and in same instances this can be performed in the field. An example of sensors that are are supported are: pH, ORP (RedOx), Dissolved Oxygen, Fluorescence, Turbidity, Transmittance, PAR and others.

Features of the XRX-420:

• XRX-420 is a hand portable, submersible, autonomous 24-bit data logger
• 1Hz (XRX-420) maximum sampling rate
• Comes equipped with sensors for Conductivity, Temperature & Depth, and supports a maximum of 7 additional sensors (up to 6 for the XRX with freshwater conductivity)
• May be configured so that further sensors can be added at any time
• Additional sensors include: pH, ORP(RedOx), Dissolved Oxygen, Fluorescence, Turbidity, Transmittance, PAR and many others in any combination
• C, T, D and DO are measured to WOCE standard
• End cap is predrilled for six sensors on the face and six connectors on the rear. Any unpopulated port is supplied with a removable plug for field upgrade
• Connectors are Impulse Micro-Mini Wet Pluggable series
• External sensors may be clamped to the logger body or supported in a small cage.
• Memory is 8MB standard, expandable to 2GB with SD card. The additional memory uses two sensor positions.
• Battery is 1.3Ah internal with external battery options or power supplied over the cable from the deck
• All calibration constants are stored in the logger
• Re-calibration may be carried out by the end-user under suitable conditions
• The XRX-series logger uses fully integrated Windows® software
• RS232 or RS485 serial communication allows real-time operation over long cable links using the RBR Windows® support program
• Mooring clamps and cages are optional (accessories page), and rugged transit cases are recommended

Features of the XRX-620 (Profiler):

• The XRX-620 is the profiling version of the standard XRX-420 logger; it includes all of the above features, plus:
  • 6Hz maximum sampling rate
  • Fast Thermistor (0.095s time constant)

    

  • Thresholding capability (logger only samples while submerged)
  • and optionally, a fast response dissolved oxygen sensor (Response: approximately 1 sec for 63% at 25°C)
