Batteries

RBR loggers come with one set of batteries. All current RBR loggers use a common camera battery: CR123 3V lithium. These batteries can be purchased virtually anywhere that film and camera equipment is sold.

Please see our technical note on battery capacity to calculate the recording life for your particular deployment scenario with the model of logger that you have or are interested in. You will also find a battery/memory usage calculator built in to the deployment settings window in the RBR Logger software; download the latest version and make use of the calculator with, or without, a logger connected to your computer!

Note: Due to unknowns such as battery shelf life, we do not guarantee our loggers ship with 'new' batteries (i.e., a full charge). Users are responsible for ensuring fresh batteries are used for each deployment.
